Founded in 2010 in Europe, R2 is a dynamic racing team formed by a father-son duo, Kai and Adam Riebetz, who bring a unique blend of experience and passion to the world of karting and have quickly become a competitive force in the racing world.
Our team is made up of two exceptional drivers: Adam Paul Riebetz, a promising 13-year-old junior driver who secured 4th place on the podium in the 2024 Atlantic Motorsport Karting Championship. At just 13 years old, Adam has already made significant strides in the karting scene, showcasing remarkable driving skills. Additionally, Adam is a national gold medalist in taekwondo and holds a second-degree black belt, which highlights his discipline and competitive spirit.
Kai Riebetz, the father, is a highly experienced and accomplished driver with an impressive track record in European motorsport. A winner of the prestigious European Young Timer Trophy, Kai has competed in major endurance events like the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and the 24 Hours of Dubai. With a history in VLN racing and multiple championship titles. Kai now brings his extensive racing experience, technical knowledge, and engineering expertise to karting, laying a strong foundation for the team’s success.
